Hilarie, have you ever considered recording a compilation of a few of your favorite short stories or books for an audiobook. I recently started purchasing them off i tunes when I buy a new book because it's so much more interesting to hear a book read by a good storyteller. But I'm still a lover of the written word so as I listen to the story being told, I read along in my book. It's made for a whole new reading experience and I think you would be great at it. Clearly you have the fan base, a knack for story telling and the love for good literature. Just a thought...
i def. bought this book yesterday... only on chapter one.. but i must say its awesome so far.. i want to know what the strange thing is in the woods

Ray Bradbury is a wonderful man. I had seen him at the 2009 Comic Con. His passion is so unbelievebly inspirational. If you haven't met him yet, he is someone you want to put on your list to meet.

Hilarie awesome choice, thanx for introducing it I check it out on the internet and it only let me read to page 6 :( sadly I was really into it and now I have to get it he he he i dont really read books because I get eaily bored with them but Dandelion Wine look AMMAAAZZZZIIINNGG so thank you now i won't fail the reading part of my lit class lol

I couldn't really get into....But I was really into when Hilarie read some of it to us. That would be soo cool if she could read the whole thing to us. She just brings everything too life when she reads her excerpts from the book.
WOW! All I have to say is I have never heard someone read a book out loud with such enthusiasm and character! Sounds like a fun book! I think I will add it to my list! Good Job Hilarie :) PS: a rat named Ray Bradbury eh?! most definitely cooler than my pet gold fish Nemo! Cheers! E.C.
That may have been a smidgen of an excerpt, but wow! Seriously...I was nothing short of hooked. I've been left craving more.
I will definitely be checking it out.

Hey hey, Dandelion Wine sounds pretty awesome actually. It's based around summer time right? I'm afraid to say the weather in Scotland hasn't been great so far this summer, pretty much the same weather as normal..rain ha! Hilarie you really really love this book don't u?! You can totally tell by the way you read it, it's like you've read it a hundred times lol. So once I finish To Kill A Mockingbird, I will definately get on to reading it.

Bradbury is undoubtedly a literary genius, however I always preferred his science fiction stories.
"A Sound of Thunder" is perhaps one of the most compelling short stories ever written, and really partially started my fascination with the concepts and differences between causality, destiny, and of course, hypothetical theories on time travel.
I also drove a DeLorean once, but never got it to 88 mph.
Also, happy late birthday. (better late than never, riiiiight?)

Well I am new to your really awesome website but I have been such a huge fan of the show..It's really nice to see the real you off screen just being cool in the living room. I am gonna miss you so so much on Tree Hill and I am hoping that you will at least make an appearance in the series finale because I feel it will only be fitting to end the way it started five kids that mean the world to each other but hey hears hoping haha..This book seems really cool and I love your enthusiasm for it so you sold me. I fell in love with this little story. I will have to read that book over summer. Have never read anything from Bradbury, but I'm gonna.
You hardly hear grownups read you stories out loud after you turn 18 so it's really great that you guys are sharing.

so, ive listened to this lil extract 3/4 times now and love this book even more each time. Great reading and acting these two characters out by the way, totally made it all come alive.
Another one to add to the list of summer reading 09, of which i have to admit, most have been from sogopro book club, so keep it up!

You, as a television actress, a producer, and somedays storyteller, have managed to captivate my interest and spark my enthusiasm and inspiration. I am currently a student at UNC-Greensboro in the major of Interior Architecture and transferring later to NCSU for my Masters in Architecture. Why I say this is because you have captured my attention like no other soul. You have shown that hard work and dedication to ones art can carry you so far in life.
