i would totally have to say barbra allen woods would be the perfect person to play my mom!!! she doesnt have a drug problem or anything lol but she will do whatever she can to keep her family safe!!!

I would want Lauren Graham to play my mom for sure! She's technically a little young to play my mom, but she's hilarious and endearing. But, if I couldn't get her, I think Moira Kelly would also be awesome. She's prolly too young too, but I don't care.

I never thought of this before... hmmmm.

I would have loved Judy Garland to play my mother when she was younger, cause she looked like her in St. Louis and Wizard of Oz and that would be awesome or Maryln Monroe! I guess I need a time machine :(

However, everyone says we are like the real Gilmore Girls (even though I've never watched this show) So if we could get Lauren Graham, she would do a great job hehe.

I"ll say Sally Field because she is so loving and caring.

After my mother died, I began to asked myself this question, who is great enough to play her and show how great she was, her never ending happiness, her moments when she realized she wouldn't be here for my life's moments...
I think ... Susan Sarandon would play her just I remember her.

There is no actress good enough to play the amazing woman that is my mother. If she were still alive, I'd say that she'd have to play herself...no one else would do!

My mother in the movie? I think that would be Julia Roberts in Erin Brockovich. Because there is much pain in the history of the life of my dear mother.

First off, I have no idea who would play my mother. I just had to say, Mother Lover is hysterical. It's so catchy and genius!

Oh and I love Dirty Dancing. Patrick Swayze might have been my first celeb crush!

i think kelly rowan.because my mum is like the character she played in the o.c. besides the drinking problem...

Mamma Mia! I looveee Meryl Streep!! I think she could perfectly be a mom. Anybody's mom!! For me she is the best actress and she could be playing any charecter. =]
Mila - BRAZIL.
PS: Hilarieeee I miss you on myspace!! How can I send you some messages now? Well.. What I have to say is: You were AWESOME in the last episode of OTH!! We're gonna miss you... but the end was like "YEAH! the perfect ending!!". Love u and thank you so much for the Peyton's tears, and smiles and laughs and everything!! I cried the whole episode.

Meryl Streep. My mother is Meryl's very-much-louder-but-in-all-other-ways-mirror-image.

I also wanted to say that I think its great what your doing with your production company here in Wilmington. This is really an extraordinary town and I think you are working it to its full potential. We need a media group that loves this town for all its little eccentricities and films because they want to tell a story and they love the work not just for the coverage and media frenzy it will create. Keep up the good work, looking forward to "Pedestrian".

I'd have to say personally I would pick someone like Alison Janney she is very talented and it works for the age group of someone playing my mom. I also think Diane Keaton is a great choice for an actress when it comes to moms. Also love Gina Davis, "A League of Thier Own" will always be my favorite movie.

Also...Mother Lover is great, almost better than DIAB. If Hilarie still hasn't watch it I urge you to hulu it for her since its no longer available on youtube.

Who would play the role of my mother..... hmmmm I think I'm gonna have to go with Bonnie Hunt. I think she is one funny lady and my mom has the exact same humor as her, everytime I see Bonnie on tv or in a movie I think about my mom. I remember this one scene from her former sitcom where she was informed her husbands boss was coming over on short notice and she shoves things into the closet and makes her kids act all proper, that is sooo my mom whenever someone was coming over we'd have to drop everything and make the house spotless in a hurry lol

People also think my mom looks like she should be Patrick Swayze sister and she does!! It's crazy she's like the woman version of Patrick lol

loved the vlog guys!!

Sally Field. I've always thought they looked alike to an extent. Think Steel Magnolias. My mom's a short, little firecracker of a southern woman, and Sally nailed it in that flick.

Sally Field, her face reminds a lot my mom!!!
But talking about personality, kindness, loveness...I would say my mom!!!

RuPaul, definatley. I never met my mother so my father would put on a wig and a dress anytime we had conversations about female topics. Just so the convos felt more realistic.
Honestly only half that story is true. :)
But if I have a choice I have to chose Florida Evans from Good Times. Hard-working, caring, and badass. Great combination.

First time here and I do have to say that you guys represent awesome very well. Have a good one!

Shirley MacLaine
straight up hard ass, but soft at times
also, she manages to play the mother that loves her daughter but just can't connect to her, which is where my mother and I are at, and have been for a number of years.

I would pick Sally Fields or Phylicia Rashad (From the Cosby Show)
They're both SUCH amazing actresses and remind me a lot of my own mom :)

Well my mother lefts me when I was a teenager and it was hard because I really didn’t have mother daughter love till my aunt Jenny become a mother to me then my own mother. (I am teary up right now) My aunt Jenny (my mother now) changes that because I was loved and never had that feeling of mother daughter. She is fun, helpful, caring and being herself with me and I think the best person to play my mother (Jenny) is Hilarie Burton because she and Hil have same personality.

I love you Aunt Jenny being my mother!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I have absolutely no clue who could play my Mother, I have been thinking about it all day and I love the woman to death, but she's, well one of a kind haha. Currently my Mother is not happy because Adam did not win American Idol, tell Mama Burton I am very sorry he did not win. But I was secretly rooting for Kris :)

i'm quite content with the mother i've been given :)

but if i had to choose...
it'd be kelly rowan or kathy bates.

& if jessica tandy was still alive (bless her sweet heart) she'd be my grandmother..

and while watching american idol... im thinking queen latifa would be pretty awesome!

Diane Lane. Without a doubt. I can't even explain it...I just know it would be her. :)

Meryl Streep would be pretty phenomenal..ultimate bragging rights. I mean, who denies Meryl Streep's kid of anything? Plus she seems like such a genuine person, and she always brings her daughter as her date to the big awards shows. That's totally something my mom would do, you know, if my Mom went to awards shows. :)

Ellen Degeneres would be an interesting choice too...not because she and my mom are that similar, but because they both like to laugh and be goofy. Seeing Ellen in a motherly role would be fascinating to me.

My mom passed away 3 years ago but always loved Katherine Hepburn so she would have dug that. My mother was athletic in her younger years and wore her hair much like Katherine Hepburn did....she was beautiful! However, Betty White and my mother in her later years could have passed as sisters! My mom's independent nature would resemble Bea Arthur in Maude and Golden Girls. My mother was definitely pro women in a man's world and learned to be independent at a young age so instilled that in four girls.

i never thought about that but its a tie between Reba and florance henderson. i say Reba because my mom is strong minded and is fun to be around but she can still guilt you into doing things you dont want to and Florance because we all know she can handle a large group of kids.

and who doesnt love Dirty dancing thats my all time fave movie i broke my copy when i was five watching it over and over but i now own the dvd so i wont have to worry about breaking it again and i might have the time of my life and watch it after my shower lmao

Val

The one person I only want to be playing my mom is my mom because she is the best mother in the world. But I do have a fave actress to play my mom would be Marie Barone from Everyone Loves Raymond because she is always trying to make sure that I am happy and that I have a good life not to mention that my mommmy and yes I wrote mommy, she cooks the best food ever. I learned so much from my mom she is my rock, my bestfriend and above all she showed me that no matter what life throws at you never give up on you dreams and never let the small things get to you but make the best of life and what it has to offer you. I love you mom and thank you for being my mom and for never letting me give up even when everything and everyone has told me to give up. I LOVE YOU......

the person that will be perfect for do of my mother it would be Julia Roberts..

I have always thought that they are elegant and amazing women.. and that their features are very similar..

Sorry if my english is bad.. but I am spanish and I don´t speak very well english.. heheh

I love the vlog!!!

My mum is my ultimate role model and motherly mum and love her for it. Id have say either Bonnie Hunt or Sally Field.
-x-

Hey Guys! This is an interesting question... I've never think about it before. It's so hard to answer it, my mom's got a very colorful personality. Maybe Susan Sarandon or Diane Lane, or Lauren Graham, oh and maybe Moira Kelly. Hmm, that's it I think.

Good luck :)

a movie of my life? hopefully i do something important enough for that to happen! ha. who would play my mom? this is a toughy. my mom is so unique i don't think i could pin her to one person. it is funny that you mentioned dirty dancing though, because appearance wise when my mom was young she looked almost identical to jennifer grey pre-nose job. so i guess i would have to go with jennifer grey.
-preilly

thanks for the vlog. it puts a smile on my face.
My mom is such an amazing woman with a great sense of humor... and who would play her in a movie?
Well, since she is costa rican, if i was casting based on looks I would say Rosario Dawson. My mom looked a lot like her when she was younger
but someone who could portray her personality wise... i would have to go with Michelle Pfeiffer or like Mrs. Indredible from The Incredibles perhaps. I don't know.

but yes, that SNL sketch was hilarious.

-Raquel

Ok - this is quite funny because of the fact that your "younger" following is looking at women who are in their early 40's! Hysterical!

Susan Sarandon is great but I guess it does depend on what you are looking for. Sally Field is a crazy wacky mother and takes the nurturing of her children a bit overboard but is exactly how some Mom's are.

I am very lucky with mine because she is super supportive of all that my siblings and I have done and want to do and has become one of my closest friends. To me, that is the perfect mother who has evolved as we have grown up.

SO - I am thinking someone like Meryl Streep. She seems like that exact person.

Good luck guys :)

My mother could only be portrayed best by Joan Crawford circa Mommy Dearest. Hateful woman she is, I wish I could say differently but honestly Joan or Angelica Houston Circa Ever After.

I think Kathy Bates or Julie Walters would play my mother wonderfully. Generally their mother roles always remind me of my mom so one of those two would work for me.

Sally Field is definitely the first person that comes to mind. She seems very down to earth and kind, but also strong.

My mom would have to be played by Olivia Newton John. When I was really little I thought my mom was. Yeah, I know dorky.

Of course that might have been because "A mom for Christmas" was one of the best movies when I was little..:-)

I love my mom too. If I were to have any actress play her it would be Kathy Bates or Michelle Pfeiffer.

My mother is a woman but if the Director of the movie of my life managed to resurrect Oliver Reed he would be the guy to play my mother. Not because she has a drinking problem but because I adore Oliver Reed and I adore my mother and in Gladiator (my mother's favourite film) the way he acts his role comes across as so like my mum's attitude so he would be perfect in the role if wardrobe threw a boofy brown wig on his head and he learnt a Geordie accent.

love Jayne

p.s. My SoGoPro shirt arrived today. It is awesome and the note was beautiful. I love love LOVE my shirt.

Hey guys!
This is Brune again :)
Well, I thought about who I would pick to play my mom in the movie of my life, and I think that, physically at least, Anjelica Huston would be great. She's a very funny actress when she wants to too, and I'm sure she could play my mom.
Anyway, I really can't wait to see Pedestrian! It really sounds like an interesting movie.

Bye!

Xoxo

Gonna have to go with Reba McEntire. My mom is a lot like her.

Hi guys!
If I had to choose, I would had selected Moira Kelly or Kate Winslet, great actresses I think!
Thank you for the vlogs, love them!
xo

honestly, i there are two actresses that come to mind, Kathy Bates and Rosanne Barr. but i dont personally think anyone could ever do my mother justice in a story of my life.
and i have to say this but
My sister is my american idol.
xoxo
Dani

I'm gonna be a little bit different here and say that I think I'd like to see Elizabeth Perkins play my mother in a movie.

I have to say Susan Sarandon, because of the movie Stepmom. While she plays a beautiful loving mother, she's also plays angry and stuborn really well. Although, thank god, my mother is not dying of cancer, that character reminds me of her.

My mom is not perfect and has her moments... but she's perfection to me. Susan Sarando would do her justice, I have no doubt.

[Going to ask my mom who she would want playing her]

Oops! She was insulted by my choice, saying Ms Sarandon was way too old. Oh, mothers... She hoped I would have said Kate Winslet. I agree that Ms Winslet would have been a great choice as well.

- Jess

I'm going to say the actresses that people think my mom looks like which is Jane Fonda or Halle Berry. A few years ago we were at this restaurant in Shirlington called Carle Grand Cafe and this couple came up to me screaming is that Jane Fonda??? Is that Jane Fonda??? I just sat there laughing... I wanted to say yes just to see what they would do but instead I said no and they looked sad and walked away....hahahaha!!! What you are probably thinking now is Halle and Jane look nothing alike and my mom's definitely not black. I think if she looks like anyone its maybe Jane Fonda though my mom is a little younger and has black hair. I think Jane could pull off my mom well though she crazy and outgoing like me!

Loved the Vlog!

Liz

I'm going to go with Moira Kelly. Each time I see her on screen I am reminded in some ways of my own mother.

Great question by the way :) And love hearing that you are so close to your family (as I am also).

Such a cool Vlog!!
I think Stockard Channing could play my mum (West Wing, Where the Heart Is, and of course Grease!) she always plays a strong character trying to get away from a certain stigma, I think thats most like my mum.

Sam xx

Oi. Parabéns por seu excelente blog. Gostaria de lhe convidar para visitar meu blog e conhecer alguma coisa sobre o Brasil e nossa luta contra o comunismo. Abração

I have no idea who would play my mother in a movie, but I thought that question was hilarious because my favorite teacher in school saw me one day and out of the blue said "Who would play your mother in a movie?" because she really wanted to meet her. xD
