Gaining Traction
Hello all,
Yesterday was chock full of SGP meetings, morning to night, exciting stuff. Eddie Jones, our VP of Sales and Marketing set up our first investor pitch meeting since we retooled our business model... what a difference... more of that boring stuff later...
Back to our meeting, the SGP team ran through our pitch and with "plan B" in place we could tell that the investor was at ease, his questions seemed to be positive in nature and I got a great vibe from the entire experience. Best of all, he has agreed to a second meeting... Kudos to Hilarie and Eddie!
We're working with Candace Plummer on our SGP logo, what a wonderful job she is doing on it, we should be unveiling it next week and can't wait to show you all.
Lastly, Hilarie and I went to dinner with our wonderful friend who also happens to be the talented writer of Pedestrian, Nick Gray. Nick had great news about one of his plays that had a table reading in NYC last weekend to glowing reviews, so much so that he might be produced by an organization in NY soon... I'll let Nick tell you all about that whole experience... that man has such creative juice, we're lucky to have him on our team. We talked mostly about possible casting choices for Pedestrian and its schedule. Lastly, we worked on one of our other projects that Nick is writing the pilot for and hopefully will be able to share with you guys at the end of the month...

Everything seems to be taking off for you guys, i'm really happy for you. Seems like being able to live where you want to live and still have creative opportunities is a pretty nice deal - wish I could swing something like that!
And as others have said, a possible podcast sounds good :D

I'm glad you posted, this blog is awesome and it is really fantastic and interresting that you're keeping us aware and informed of what happens for SGP like almost everyday!

It is really getting more and more interresting. Can't wait to see your logo And that you write more about what's happen with your movie, waiting to actually watch it in Theatres.

Hi, I think that your work is great and i would like to help u with it, how i don't know, I loved the idea of the blog, so i thought that maybe you should use the internet doing websites, this kind of things. If you need, i'm in college studying to be a graphic designer, so i really think i can help. I love tv shows, movies and would like to say congratulations, because the idea is great and i hope it works.
wow. You guys post with new successes daily! It is awesome to see that SGP is growing and in less then a year filming might start! Pedestrian sounds awesome. I can't wait for the day we finally get to see it for ourselves! That day is going to come sooner than you think!

Gotta love those podcasts... it's kept OTH on the air for 6 seasons so far... because of that success, we are thinking of kinda doing the same with Hilarie being our host...
WOW, you guys really are gaining momentum. It is really cool to see a project slowly come to fruition.
Don't forget all the other wonderful medians out there to get your projects out to the public and investors.
With the growing poplularity of podcasts that might be something to think about as well. Especially when you start principle photography of your film "Pedestrian." It would be cool to hear bi-weekly updates on a podcast. Really great marketing tool for a start-up production company.
I host a podcast, for One Tree Hill actually, and though it is a lot of work, it has really exploded and become something people look forward to each week. And allows me to talk about the show but also great artists and their music as well.
Just a thought.

Wow, it's inspiring to see how much you guys have accomplished in under two years! Do you have any idea when you (ideally) plan to start filming?
I really dig your guy's Blog and all that you guys are doing!! I blogged about you guys in my last post, but I feel bad now, as I didn't know that you post here as well (Though I feel stupid for not knowing that, as you BOTH run the company)... As someone who's had to recnetly deal with business models and investors, I know that it can be a hassle, but you guys seem to have great minds in those noggins of yours, so I'm real confident that you guys will have a hit on your hands with Pedestrian... can't wait to see it!!
